This former manse is located in an elevated position near the village of Aboyne, in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of Scotland. The house enjoys spectacular panoramic views over the countryside to the South. The current design will seek to enhance these views, taking into account the scale of the landscape, rather than focusing on an overly manicured front garden.
Behind the main house is a walled garden with an unusual semi-circular rear wall. The plan is to retain the tennis court in the centre but conceal it behind an orchard, in long grass and wild flowers. A more formal garden with box edged beds that follow the curved wall will be planted behind the tennis court.
